We're here!  Here I am with my mom, Duane Taylor and Kevin Renfrow at our hotel, home to the Oregon and Illinois delegations.

 This morning, we set off for the Sun Dome for the "We Are The Future" Rally--the highlight of the week.

We were treated to a day of many excellent speakers (Lew Rockwell, Justin Amash, Rand Paul, to name a few), as well as wonderful musical entertainment, including Amy Allen and Jordan Page.

After the rally, all the Ron Paul delegates were invited to Whisky Joe's on the beach for dinner and a photo op with Dr. Paul. 

It looks like hurricane Isaac will miss us, but the RNC annouonced it will cancel the events for Monday anyway, due to bad weather.  So, our first responsibilities as delegates begin Tuesday--with the Rules Committee trying to pass some terrible new party rules (as Rachel Maddow recently reported, to deal with the "Ron Paul problem"), we will have our work cut out for us.

    Gosh this is so confusing, I thought the Paul fest was at the Sun Dome,, sorry for being confused,, why did they schedule like that? Gary Johnson spoke at the Paul fest, he was great too but not as good as Ron Paul!!

      Paulfest was scheduled long before the Sun Dome rally and was a 3-day event. I think they scheduled the rally on Sunday because they wanted to be sure all the delegates (some of whom didn't fly in til today) could all be there. I didn't go to Paulfest at all.

      Yes, his speech was awesome--too bad it wasn't at the RNC. But, as someone at the rally pointed out today, it's on Youtube and millions of people will see it anyway.

    Lynn,, those pictures are so wonderful,, I am so glad to see everyone there. You all look so great and happy!!! I Love the one of you and Ron Paul together,, and it all looks like everyone is so happy!!! Like Ron Paul said, you have to have a little fun!!
