Although the business of the Convention was cancelled for Monday, we braved the massive security apperatus to attend anyway. The meeting was convened and almost immediately recessed. Regardless of the nothing-going-on state of affairs, the media were out in full force (I have heard there are 7 to 10 members of the media for every Delegate at the convention.) Several members of the Oregon Delegation were interviewed for television and newspapers, and did a fabulous job!

My highlight for the day was getting to see the Daily Show correspondents, John Oliver and Al Madrigal. I love those guys!
Each day of the Convention has a theme. Monday's theme was "We Can Do Better." This inspired a spontaneous gathering of Ron Paul supporters to gather under the sign at the back of the convention hall--and our chant, "President Paul, President Paul, President Paul," rang out. Security did not prevent this protest on Monday since the convention was closed and the media was minimal, but starting Tuesday, our "unauthorized" signs would not be allowed.

I love how you all look so happy in all the pictures!! Its crazy how Ron Paul has been able to expose just how corrupt the party members are. I was thinking of you today when I watched the videos of the convention. Keep your head up!! You are so lucky to be there!! You are making a difference!!

You are upset,, it is so sad that they did that,,
oh well for them,, their party will wither away and die,, anyone with any brain cells know that this is not the American way. People are going to be leaving the party in masses,, just wait and see,,
We will make a better system, this had to happen to expose the corruption,, its all part of the process
My heart was so with you,, I wish I was there yelling with you,, I even shed a tear for you and all of the people working so hard for all of our freedoms. We will prevail, it is a universal law,,
